Below are the monthly meeting minutes for the Herkimer County Snowmobile Trail & Trade Association. Regular meeting are held the 2nd Wednesday of the month.Meetings will be :October 13, 2004 - November 10, 2004, December 8, 2004, January 12, 2005, February 9, 2005, March 8, 2005, April 13, 2005, and May 11, 2005.

Minutes from the February 11, 2004 meeting

Members present - Chuck Robinson, Rod Smith, Bill Clary, Tom LaComb, Bill Weakley, Mike Denapole, Bob Shaver, Kaye Wright, Pat Deyle, Don Roark, Brad Smith, Steve Klem, Steve Schanz, Frank & Ruth Boepple, Jeff Johnson, Ron Davies, Len Mosher, Jesse Davis, Murph, Chick Perry (Evening Telegram), Don Paparella (LF Evening Times).

Last Meeting minutes accepted as read. Bill Weakley, 2nd Tom LaComb,

Treasurers report Checking balance $5919.57 Savings balance $7806.76 Total of both accounts $13726.33. Motion to accept by Steve Klem 2nd Mike Denapole. Motion was made to pay our NYSSA dues ($40.00) by Steve Klem, 2nd Brad Smith.

As of tonight the following clubs haven't paid their dues to HCSTTA - E. Herkimer, Salisbury, Brantingham, BRASS & Trackside.

911 Signs - They are being processed now. Jill Rae is in the process of finishing them up and should be done shortly. Discussion followed on the importance of the signs.

Trail Grant Paperwork - May 31 is the deadline. We will try to get Dave Perkins to attend the next meeting to explain the new trail grant paperwork.

Trail mileage - discussed the "proper" way to measure your trail mileage. Either by snowmobile odometer or gps

Discussed the Adirondack Park Plan

Brief discussion on the registration increase.

Missing Children's Ride - Jesse Davis said there has been a tremendous response to this years ride. The 1st estimatefor riders is about 500. Motion by Jeff J. for HCSTTA to donate $500 to the Ride as well as donate $300 to Easter Seals. 2nd by Brad Smith.

Brief discussion on our trail map for next season. Will get more info for the next meeting.

Senator Seward arrived at 7:30pm. He spoke on the importance of snowmobiling to the upstate economy. Don Roark presented him with the William Sears Award from NYSSA.
